Exploring Eating: Counselling for Weight Loss and Self-Care

Do you want to change your eating habits and improve your health? I occasionally offer an 8-week psycho-educational support group for people wanting to lose weight through better eating. In the group, we will consider different aspects of our eating habits and our emotional well-being — our relationship with food, our food choices and habits and how we serve our emotional needs with food. We will explore how to appreciate, validate, and support ourselves as we make changes.

Strategies and tools for change will be taught and discussed throughout the course, drawing on CBT, mindfulness, and motivational interviewing. Our goal is to validate participants and provide support as you make your own choices around eating and self-care.
